"How cool would it be for your kids to grow their own vegetables at school?" asks Rachael. "Here in NYC it's being done!" Rachael and her Yum-o! organization are teaming up with the Office of New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg to launch a vocational training and gardening program at every grade level to help kids develop a healthy relationship with food from the ground up! "This is such a beautiful, simple thing for a kid to be able to make that connection where food really comes from. To be able to cook something and share it with your family or friends is just such a strong and powerful way to build a child's self esteem," Rachael explains.
