Classic TV Show Reunion
It's a flashback to Rachael's childhood when Valerie Bertinelli brings some of her One Day at a Time co-stars to celebrate Rachael's 40th on a re-creation of their 1970s set. "I'm wishing you a happy birthday," says Val's TV mom Bonnie Franklin, sharing a special gift with Rachael. "In honor of this day, I wanted to make you an honorary member of our television family by making you my third daughter. So happy birthday, Rachael Romano Cooper!"
Valerie then brings out everyone's favorite handyman, Pat Harrington, who tells Rach, "Turning 40 is great." Rachael asks Pat what he did with the tool belt he toted around during the show's run as Schneider. "I have it at home," he says, joking that the famed item was an impulse purchase. "I got that tool belt about an hour and a half before we did the first show at CBS." (He may need those tools to fix his Emmy® award! Backstage, Pat tells us how what happened to the statuette in an Online Exclusive!)
Rachael praises their Emmy®-winning series, and explains that as a child the show held a special place in her heart. "My mom was a divorced mom with a bunch of kids and she worked all the time," she says. "It just seemed so much like our family and I loved how a sense of humor helped that family get through life."
